|
A look at the fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing and how to overcome the roadblocks that prevent us from fully implementing and sustaining these success basics.

Session Background
|
Do you have 5S at work? Do you have one at home? When was the last time you did a value stream map for a complicated process at your company, like the act of refilling the coffee pot?
Join us on September 21st as Melanie Holloway, Warehouse Manager at Alpha Technologies Ltd., takes us Back to School for a refresher on the fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing. We'll also take a look at why so many companies are challenged with implementing these so-called "simple" solutions. What is it that is getting in the way of our own success?
We'll be exploring how we as individuals can help to make cultural change in the workplace with how we encourage, lead, motivate and inspire. When the basics permeate your daily routine and lean manufacturing becomes the norm, the rest falls into place.
After this session, you'll be fully recharged and eager to map out that value stream for refilling the coffee maker, and start 5s-ing your computer files!!Who knows, maybe you’ll even breathe a little life into that Kaizen blitz you've been contemplating.
